Privacy Policy

Effective 14 June 2026

Your trust matters. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have — in plain English.

1. Who we are

Manas Studio (“Manas Studio”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an Australian digital agency that builds custom websites, AI receptionists, booking systems, online stores, and provides IT support for small businesses.

Our contact details are:

2. Scope of this policy

This policy explains how we collect, hold, use, and disclose personal information through our website at manasstudio.com and the services we provide to clients. It is written to align with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

3. Information we collect

We only collect information we actually need. In practice that includes:

Information you give us directly

  • Contact details when you email us, message us on WhatsApp, or book a call (e.g. your name, business name, email address, phone number).
  • Project information you share with us so we can quote and deliver work (e.g. what you want built, business goals, existing assets, billing details).
  • Correspondence with our team, including emails, WhatsApp messages, and meeting notes.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics data via Vercel Analytics, which records aggregated, privacy-friendly metrics such as the pages you visit, approximate location (derived from IP), device type, browser, and referring site. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
  • Technical data our hosting provider logs for security and performance, such as IP address, timestamp, and the URL requested.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to enquiries and prepare quotes.
  • Deliver the services you've engaged us for, including design, development, hosting, AI receptionists, booking systems, and IT support.
  • Send invoices and handle payments.
  • Communicate about your project, including updates, scheduling, and support.
  • Improve our website and services based on aggregated analytics.
  • Meet legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

5. Service providers we share information with

To run the studio and deliver projects, we rely on a small set of trusted service providers. Each one only receives the information needed to do its job:

  • Vercel — website hosting and analytics. Data may be processed in the United States.
  • Cal.com — meeting bookings made via our “Book a Meeting” link.
  • WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) — when you message us through the WhatsApp widget.
  • Email and productivity tools — used to send and store correspondence and project documents.
  • Payment and accounting providers — used to invoice clients and meet Australian tax obligations.
  • Google Fonts — used to render typography on the website; Google may receive your IP address when fonts load.

Where these providers are located outside Australia, your information may be transferred and stored overseas. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle your information consistently with the APPs.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Manas Studio, our clients, or others.

6. Cookies and tracking

Our site uses a minimal set of cookies and local storage strictly to make the site work (for example, to remember your theme preference). Vercel Analytics is configured to be cookie-less.

Third-party services we link to or embed (such as Cal.com or WhatsApp) may set their own cookies when you interact with them. Their use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies.

7. How we store and protect information

We store personal information in reputable cloud services protected by access controls, encryption in transit, and provider-level security. Access is limited to the people on our team who need it to deliver your project.

No system on the internet is perfectly secure. We work to reduce risk, but we can't guarantee absolute security. If we ever become aware of a data breach that's likely to result in serious harm, we'll notify affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it — to deliver your project, support our clients afterward, and meet legal obligations (for example, tax records must be kept for at least 5 years under Australian law). When we no longer need it, we delete it or de-identify it.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that's inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete.
  • Delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep.
  • Stop receiving non-essential communications from us.

Email hello@manasstudio.comand we'll respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity before we act.

If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

10. Children

Our services are aimed at businesses, not children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our services or the law evolves. We'll update the “Effective” date at the top of the page when we do. For significant changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know.
